What is the BMAT?
“The test aims to distinguish the blindingly bright from the already very bright…”
A short abbreviation for the dull-sounding Bio-Medical Admissions Test, the BMAT is an exciting test used in some universities as part of the admissions process for Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science courses. The test aims to distinguish the blindingly bright from the already very bright and will likely be a determining factor in whether you manage to land an interview/offer or not. It takes place in early November and results are out by the end of the month.
