After committing to Wellesley College, one of the nation's fiercest and best (duh) women's liberal arts colleges, I've definitely heard questions like: "So.... why are you voluntarily placing yourself into a convent??!?" and "But.... why??"
Okay, let me explain myself. I don't think I've lost it - at least not yet. While the fact that Wellesley is a women’s college wasn’t really a huge factor in my consideration of different colleges, after being admitted I’ve been thinking about women’s colleges quite a lot.
My objective here isn’t to argue that women’s colleges are the best kind of college, but rather that you shouldn’t be scared away by the fact that a school is a WC (and maybe you might even come to appreciate that fact!)
